If your patio base is poorly constructed you will deal with multiple issues, including drainage problem, tripping hazards and eventually sunken pavers.

    2. Will weeds grow inbetween the paver joints?

    • This is such a popular question…When building your paver patio we recommend the use of POLYSAND. This specialized sand is combined with additives, and when activated with water they form a binding agent between the paver joints. Polysand helps stop the pesky growth of weeds and moss between joints, keeping your patio looking neat and clean!

    3. Are pavers expensive to install?

    • Many homeowners are concerned with the price of paver installation - as you should be! In our area, paver installation ranges from $10-$16 a square foot. This also depends highly on the project area and the paver chosen. There is a price difference between overlay pavers, travertine pavers and full thickness pavers. Before you start your project, make sure you ask your paver contractor for a breakdown of the project pricing!

4. Will my pavers sink?

In this situation, we like to tell them that the most important part of the construction is the base and the base material. If properly installed, you should not have sinking pavers. Make sure you ask your contractor how they prep the base before installation - they should be happy to explain the process to you!
